The Japanese art of origami (paper-folding) is centuries old, but the genre of modular origami or geometric construction using congruent units is relatively recent.  By examining the roles of reflection symmetry versus rotation symmetry in paper folding, simple but clever box forms will be produced – just in time for the holiday season!  And by using newly folded boxes as modules, an even bigger surprise awaits.
